The Big Lie

The U.S. had firebombed over 100 Japanese cities.  Tokyo was 80% destroyed.

The whole Japanese nation was decimated.  The Russians had entered the Japanese war and were destroying everything in their path.  The Japanese were trying to surrender based on many documents from the many diplomats involved in the war. 

The U.S. wanted to try out it's uranium A-Bomb and it's plutonium A-Bomb.  So the Japanese became the guinea pigs.  Seven of the eight U.S. Generals said don't do it, it was barbaric; MacArthur, Eisenhower, etc. ...

But the U.S. wanted to show the Russians our power.
